Tattoo Day

  • Of course you can! I will contact you sometime during the week before your tattoo appointment to confirm the details we discussed and send over rough sketches to make sure I am going in the right direction.

Once you are happy with the sketches, I will refine the design and create a colour rendering or sample. You will receive this version before your appointment so minor changes can be made prior to your arrival.

Timing for this process is up to my discretion due to my busy work schedule, your patience is appreciated! Please be attentive to whatever platform we spoke on that week so we can go through this process as efficiently as possible.

  • If this is your first tattoo, don’t be scared! It won’t be as bad as you think. If this isn’t your first rodeo, welcome back!

Before arriving for your appointment make sure you eat a decent sized meal, get a good night’s sleep and you aren’t sick or hungover. Adding to that, please no heavy drinking or drug use the night before or day of your appointment.

Bring snacks, water and/or some sugary drinks to your appointment, especially if it’s a long one, to keep your blood sugar levels up. Please email or message me with any additional questions/ concerns.

  • It is best to wear clothing that will keep you comfortable and allow me access to the area on the body to be tattooed.

If this is a sensitive area we will be tattooing, I have materials for you to cover up if you wish.

There’s always a possibility for ink to stain clothing and although I try my best, please wear clothing you don’t mind getting dirty.

  • You may have one guest with you, any additional guests may have to wait elsewhere or explore the neighbourhood. This is out of respect to other artists and clients in the shop and I thank you for your cooperation on this!

Headphones, browsing the internet, Netflix, books, chewing gum, etc are great distractions for pain and I never mind if you’d like to zone out. I’m also always up for a great conversation! Let me know ahead of time of you’d like a quiet appointment with minimal conversation.

Please bring any health related medications you may need, and if you need a break do not hesitate to ask.

  • Yes you can, as long as it does not contain a high percentage of lidocane. Some numbing creams with a high lidocane percentage will cause the skin to swell up immediately, making it hard to tattoo and heal properly.

I recommend the brand Zensa as it can be applied before the appointment and during. It will not affect the tattoo or healing process and it can be bought on amazon.

Please apply the numbing cream 3-4 hours before your tattoo appointment on the area to be tattooed, and wrap the area in plastic wrap. Use medical tape to keep the plastic wrap on. This keeps the cream on your skin and lets it soak in. Please bring your Zensa tube with you so you can re-apply as needed during the appointment. Numbing cream is not intended to completely block out the pain, but rather take the edge off.

  • We are a ground floor access shop and if you would like me to help you with your mobility device I am happy to! Peekaboo Tattoo is an open concept shop.

I tattoo on a massage bed with a sturdy aluminum frame , but if you have any concerns about stability and weight restrictions, let me know ahead of time so I may make the proper arrangements for you.

Please communicate any requirements you may have and I will be happy to adjust my process accordingly.

  • Touch ups are free for up to a year after your appointment and I highly recommend coming in if you need one.

After the one year mark and if we are working on a new tattoo, I am happy to do touch ups for you during that appointment.

If anything happens during the healing process and you require a touch up session to fix an area, please don’t be embarrassed to reach out and I will fix it. I want you to be happy with a great looking tattoo.

Please follow my specific aftercare instructions as healing processes can differ with each style.
