Deposit Policy
Booking your Tattoo
To book an appointment, you will need to send a NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT per client (the amount discussed between you and I) via E transfer to hold your appointment and design.
*E transfers can be sent to localcrewtattoo@gmail.com
(I will provide a preferred security question and answer to you privately during our correspondence)
Once I receive the deposit, I will confirm with you our chosen appointment date by the method in which we have been corresponding and add your appointment to my calendar. Your deposit will remain in your file until the tattoo has been completed, then it will be applied to the final price of the tattoo. Appointment dates will not be held until the deposit has been received.
Cancellation, Re-booking and re-drawing policy
In the event of a cancellation, re-booking or a no show, your deposit is non- transferable and you will need to send in another deposit of the same amount in order to book in again, NO EXCEPTIONS. In the case of any major design changes/ full design change, the deposit becomes a nominal fee for time spent on drawing and correspondence. Deposits in limbo will be held for no longer than 6 MONTHS from the date received, giving some exceptions for ongoing large scale work. Any emergency re-booking will be up to the artist (myself’s) discretion to honour your original deposit depending on circumstances, however you will still be required to send another deposit of the same amount for your new date chosen. You may not loose your deposit if you can re-book within 3 weeks of your original appointment date. If you are requesting a re-booking with advanced notice of a week or more, you may not loose your deposit (up to the artist’s discretion).
It is the responsibility of the client to show up on time for their appointment and if you are running late, please communicate this to me from whichever platform we are corresponding. By sending in a deposit, you are committing to being tattooed by me on the chosen date and time. I do not recommend swimming, tanning, or vigorous exercise after getting a tattoo. Please be mindful of this when booking to avoid forfeiting your deposit due to holidays, work conflicts, sporting events, etc. I would always much rather tattoo you than keep your deposit.
The Artist’s responsibility
I as your tattoo artist will provide to you, to the best of my ability, a tattoo you will love. After communicating with you about your design and accepting your deposit, I will confirm your appointment date and begin to draw your design the week before your appointment. I send rough sketches first to make sure I am going in the right direction, then once you are happy with it I will provide a coloured/ shaded version of the design. You will see in advance exactly the design we will be working on before your appointment (usually within 1-2 days beforehand). This allows for no surprises on the day and for edits to the design during the drawing process. Please don’t be shy to communicate the edits you want during this process, I will not be offended.
If in the event I need to re-schedule our appointment due to illness or a conflict, I will give you as much advance notice as possible and provide you with options for a new appointment date (no new deposit required). If all new dates provided do not work for you, I will provide you with your deposit back (excluding ongoing large scale work due to the nature of a multisession tattoo).
I provide free touch ups for your tattoo for up to one year of completion, or if we are working on a new tattoo past the one year mark I don’t mind doing a touch up during that appointment. Hands, fingers, feet, elbows and knees may not be subject to a free touch up. This will be communicated to you in advance and may need to be a paid appointment. Aged tattoos that may need a full re-work will need to be booked as a paid appointment. I am happier when you are walking around with a great looking tattoo. Things happen during the healing process we are not in control of, so please reach out and I will fix it for you.
By making a deposit to Local Crew Tattoo (Melissa Grandovec), it is indicated you have read and understood the above policy and accept it’s terms and conditions.
Above all else, I wish to give you an amazing tattoo! Please only book and send a deposit in when you’re ready to be tattooed. If you need a little more time to think, there is never any pressure to book in.
